Mathematics Homework
Year 6 - 2-D Shape.
Spend at least 20 minutes investigating 2-D shape only on the following website http://www.mathopenref.com
Produce a poster suitable for Year 5 pupils [or teachers
] with the following specification:
- Poster must be at least A3 in size [you can use larger sugar paper etc. if you like (see your teacher if you do not have paper this size at home)]
- Choose a particular 2-D shape or family of 2-D shapes
- Write a full explanation of your shape / set of shapes describing all mathematical features / properties etc. (you MUST use correct vocabulary and spelling). The poster must be well organised, neat and well presented.
- Add any relevant pictures/drawings/photographs to enhance the appearance of your poster
- Do NOT cut and paste from books websites etc. use your own words!
- Hand in on or before December 13th.
Challenge
If you want a new challenge then see if you can identify a 2-D shape or set of 2-D shapes that we have not covered in class and produce a poster about your new find.
