Day 5 - Wednesday 12th March 2008

Dear Mums and Dads,
Fun as! There was so much snow that we could hardly see the person skiing in front of us - at times it was so windy, it was like being in a snow blizzard. Now we know what Ralph Fiennes experienced! Thank goodness for our thermals, hats, scarves, ear muffs, leggings, hand warmers – you name it, we wore it! But Rupert, when asked what his favourite part of the trip was so far, stated, “Everything!”

We all arrived safely back to the chalet to stock up on hot chocolate, ready to get showered and spruced up in time for the big night – Disco Fever! More on that tomorrow……

Care Bear of the Day was awarded to Charlotte for her ‘sweeping up’ of the fallen few on the slopes…

Crab of the Day was awarded to Mansoor for his cryptic comment of “Are we going home tomorrow?” and when he received the reply of “Yes, we are”, he exclaimed rather vociferously “No! Of course not! We’re leaving on Saturday!”

Can you recognise your child? Congratulations to Mr. Staley for guessing Jack and Mrs. Hopkins for guessing Ben Chevin – chocolate will be awarded on our return… Sorry Paige's Grandad - have another go this time!
So, how about today’s challenge? Previous winners need not answer (1 bar is enough!)

Day 6 - Thursday 13th March 2008

Dear Mums and Dads,
Good as! The sun is back and we have had another awesome day! Race day and we have so enjoyed ourselves – we had great conditions for racing……clear skies, sun and fresh powder snow. We are eagerly awaiting the results from our instructors tonight for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. But last night was so much fun too – Disco night – the pictures speak for themselves!

We have really enjoyed our week here but we’re looking forward to coming home and seeing everyone again – we miss you, Mums and Dads…... Tomorrow is our last day on the slopes – we’ll have half a day of skiing before we come back to pack and then do our last minute shopping….

Care Bear of the Day was awarded to Hannah Denness for helping the skiers in her group and for giving good advice to a friend.

Crab of the Day was awarded to Hanna Salem who executed a snazzy disco move which inadvertently went wrong!

Well done to Mr. and Mrs. Bolton for recognising Hannah – chocolate will be winging its way to you shortly!  Sorry Piers – better luck next time!
