Dear All,
We would like to introduce the new Axum Committee. We all have joined because we know a lot about Axum. Every month we listen to Miss Andersson talk about Axum. We all enjoy Axum Africa. We think of ideas to help build our relationship with the school which is in Ethiopia. Our names are… Alyssa she is 10, Rebecca she is 9, Simon he is 9, Sabrina she is 10 & Alaina she is 9. We are really looking forward to this year! Our first event this year was at the D.E.S.S Festive Fayre on the 13th December. We had a great time sponging the teachers (MuHaHaHa!) and raised a total of 640 dhs! Check out this website

Axum Africa thank DESS for participating in the VALENTINES CAKE SALE. Thank you for all your help in helping us raise DHS 1600 ! (In just half an hour!) We also thank DESC for participating in a reading marathon and helping the Axum committee raise another DHS 7000!

Our last, whole school, event was the paper chain link-up where we connected pieces of paper to raise money for Axum in Ethiopia. (AED 1 for each link). In all we raised AED 3751. Congratulations to 5 Green who joined the most links (620 links).

With the help of the cake sale run by the Reception classes a grand total of AED 4380 was raised. Well done to D.E.S.S for being so supportive. We will keep you updated on upcoming events.
